DearS: Perversion as an expression of love.
DearS is an anime in the magical girl and ecchi genres. Sexual perversion is a common theme in ecchi, and DearS is full of it. Chaste and judgemental minds be warned, this show will push your limits. But unlike base pornography, the perversion in this story serves a higher purpose. The premise of the story is that beautiful aliens have crash landed on earth. They request to make Earth their permanent home, and the people agree because they are irresistibly attractive and appear harmless.
The story follows Takeya Ikuhara, a high school boy who doesn’t trust the DearS, suspecting something dark behind their beautiful facades. One day while walking home he encounters a beautiful naked woman who doesn’t speak Japanese. She falls in front of a truck and he saves her, so as an apparent reward, she kisses him dramatically while he stands confused. He helps her to his home and she seems to be attached like a lost kitten. He soon learns that she is a DearS, and as such she is able to learn quickly to overcome the initial communication barrier and learns Japanese in a day.
The language barrier proves to be only the first hurdle, as the girl who has come to be named, “Ren” behaves bizarrely and sexually aggressive towards Takeya. She insists on referring to herself in the third person and as a slave to her master Takeya. Over and over again, he is placed in compromising positions…
